Implementation Paper of Smart Glasses for the Visually Impaired

Status: published

Abstract

The Smart Glasses for the Impaired use a lot of different technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision to make this happen. The system has a computer called a Raspberry Pi 4B that does all the thinking and a camera that takes pictures of what is around you. The Smart Glasses for the Impaired can even tell what things are, like people, cars, doors and chairs using special tools like YOLO and OpenCV. It can also read signs and labels. Even tell you what is written on papers using something called Optical Character Recognition. The Smart Glasses for the Impaired even have a special sensor that can tell how far away things are so you do not bump into them. The system then tells you what it sees and what things are around you using a voice that you can hear through a headset. The Smart Glasses for the Impaired work even when you are not connected to the internet so you can use them anywhere. The Smart Glasses for the Impaired are really helpful because they can tell you what is around you read signs to you and even warn you about things that might be in your way. All of this is done in a device that you can wear and it is not very expensive. The Smart Glasses for the Impaired are a great tool that can really improve the life of people who are blind or cannot see very well. The Smart Glasses, for the Impaired make it easier for them to get around and to be confident and that is a really good thing.
